Delivery Legal Meaning and Definition

Here is a simplified definition of the legal term Delivery.

Delivery (noun)

The act of transferring something such as money, a document, or an object from one person to another to fulfill or complete a legal transaction. In other words, delivery is the final step that makes a transaction like a sale or a transfer of property complete upon the physical reception of the said good, document, or amount. However, unless specifically agreed upon, symbolic or non-physical deliveries are usually not considered complete deliveries.
